Draymond Green takes slight jab at Paul George after beef with Damian Lillard - ClutchPoints

Golden State Warriors power forward Draymond Green chimed in on the Paul George-Damian Lillard beef on NBA on TNT on Saturday.

The three-time champion and former Defensive Player of the Year said George shouldn’t play the sympathy card and talk about his surgeries after restarting his feud with Lillard.

The beef between Damian Lillard and Paul George goes way back to the 2019 NBA playoffs when Dame bounced PG and the Oklahoma City Thunder in the first round of the postseason.

George said the shot Lillard took over him to win the series in 2019 was a bad shot. Lillard responded by saying George and the Thunder were just hurt that they lost.

Now that George is on the Clippers and playing for a contender, he has started chirping at Lillard a little more this season. Draymond Green doesn’t have an issue with that, but he doesn’t want PG-13 to feel sorry for himself since numerous players in the NBA have come back from multiple surgeries.

However, it’s fun having Draymond Green work for NBA on TNT during the restart. He’s always going to speak his mind and you never know what’s going to happen when he and Hall of Famer Charles Barkley are sharing the same set.

Since the Warriors had the worst record in the NBA before games were suspended in March, Green and the Dubs weren’t invited to Walt Disney World for the restart games. With that, he’s enjoying his time off and throwing on his “TV” hat for the time being.
