Bonchon Begins
This Korean fried chicken chain has opened its first Oregon location in Happy Valley, with takeout, delivery, and onsite dining. The restaurant is known for its chicken, as well as Korean standards like bulgogi, bibimbap, and japchae. The restaurant is located at 12000 SE 82nd Avenue in Happy Valley.
Bar King Bakery
The Bakery at Bar King opened this morning, with sweets and breakfast pastries made by Los Angeles expat Katherine Benvenuti, who has been spearheading the main restaurant’s takeout “brunch boxes.” The menu at the newly opened bakery ranges from miso-walnut brioche sticky buns to Gruyère-and-togarashi brioche.
Bar Casa Vale Returns
This Southeast Portland Spanish restaurant has reopened for takeout and dine-in service on the patio. The food menu ranges from pintxos and tapas like jamón Serrano and patatas bravas, as well as larger plates like fried chicken and roasted-then-grilled pork shoulder. Bar Casa Vale is also serving paellas and cocktails on the patio only. Reservations are available on OpenTable, and pick-up orders can be made online.
Crisp 2: Even Crispier
Crisp — the Sweetgreen-style salad bar spot on Williams — has opened a second location on SE Division. The restaurant is sticking to take-out and delivery, with its menu of salads, bowls, and soups. The restaurant is open at 2045 SE Division.
