BEIJING, Sept 1 (Reuters) - China will auction 4,400 tonnes of frozen beef and mutton from state reserves on Sept. 3, the China Merchandise Reserve Management Center said on Tuesday.
China has also sold more than 500,000 tonnes of pork from its reserves this year, to plug a huge meat supply gap after African swine fever outbreaks decimated its massive pig herd. (Reporting by Hallie Gu and Tom Daly)
