Start dreaming up your order now.
ANJU/ FACEBOOKLast August, Anju, a locally-based food truck created some serious buzz after announcing it had secured a storefront. While the brick-and-mortar’s sign has yet to be installed, the concept is just days away from making its debut at 2827 16th St. N. in St. Petersburg.
This Wednesday, Anju’s restaurant is set to open for takeout service. The joint took to Facebook on October 11, keeping its cult following up to date with the developments: "Our menu will be open for takeout only at the restaurant Wednesday through Saturday and we’ll post the online ordering link here Wednesday morning.”
The concept is still in the process of hiring its staff, installing beer taps and awaiting city permitting for it’s sign. But that won’t stop Anju from slinging Korean fried chicken lollipops, better known as K-pops.
Diners can also expect other Anju classics like eggrolls, Korean fried chicken wings, loaded tots, bowls, and kimchi. According to the Facebook post, new recipes are in the works for the storefront to offer expanded Asian fare options like buns and dumplings. Those eats are expected to debut onthe menu before the year is out.
If you want to put in your order for Wednesday’s pickup, follow Anju’s social media (@AnjuStPete) for the updates on ordering links and food truck schedule.
