1,000 pork loin roasts will be given out to families in need in northeast Iowa this holiday season.
On December 8th in Osage from 4-6 p.m. at the Mitchell County Fairgrounds, Iowa Select Farms will be putting on one of their ‘Operational Christmas Meal’ events.
Marketing Specialist Allyson Ladd explains what Operation Christmas meal is:
All in all, the foundation will be forking-over 17,000-plus pork loin meals in 12 locations around the state.
Ladd says in past years the event was already social distance friendly – but after a couple of changes, it should be completely safe for anyone coming to the event.
Farm Select puts on these events because according to their website they believe everyone deserves a good meal – especially during Christmastime.
