Texas-born chain Perry’s Steakhouse & Grille is opening its first Tennessee location on Thursday, February 18, 2021. Opening in Cool Springs’ McEwen Northside, fine dining restaurant Perry’s is known for its table-side carved butcher-fresh USDA aged prime steaks, mouthwatering, seven-finger-high pork chops, seafood, and extravagant flaming desserts.

The Perry family first opened a butcher shop and deli in Houston, Texas in 1979. Seven years later Chris Perry convinced his father to add dining tables, which led to an expansion and opening of a second market. The first Perry’s Steakhouse & Grille was born in 1993 and has since gained a loyal following throughout Texas. Today there are

Perry’s Steakhouse’s flagship menu item is the “seven-finger” pork chop — one that truly measures seven fingers high — the way butchers historically measured meat. The signature chop is rubbed with seasoning, cured, and slow-smoked with pecan wood for up to six hours. Upon order, it’s glazed, caramelized, then topped with Perry’s signature herb-garlic butter. When the massive pork chop ready, the meaty wonder is proudly carved and presented table-side.

While known best for the pork chop, the rest of the menu includes USDA aged prime beef (some also carved table-side), seafood, salads, soups, hefty starters and sides menus, plus flamed desserts. The menu, consistent throughout each of its locations, was created by Perry’s Master Development Chef Rick Moonen, a celebrity chef and member of the American Culinary Hall of Fame, and a leading authority on sustainable seafood.

The freestanding 11,000-square-foot restaurant, located at 5028 Aspen Grove Drive in Franklin, was designed with Aria Group Architects, Inc., and will provide a view from every angle of the dining room of the kitchen and Perry’s Bar 79’s towering wine wall. The space seats 357, features four private dining spaces, and outdoor dining for 46.

The restaurant allows 350 seated guests at full capacity, but will open adhering to social distancing guidelines with high cleaning standards in place.

Once open, Perry’s hours will be Monday through Thursday from 4 to 10 p.m., Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., Saturday from 4 to 10 p.m., and Sunday 4 to 9 p.m. The full menu will be available for car-side to-go every day from 11 a.m. to close, in addition to to-go special offers.

Perry’s iconic Pork Chop Friday Lunch features a lunch-cut portion of the chop, served with whipped potatoes and homemade applesauce for $16 on Fridays from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. (the only day of the week when Perry’s is open for lunch service). The first Pork Chop Friday will be held on Friday, February 19, 2021. The pork chop lunch special is also available to-go, Wednesdays and Fridays from 10:30 a.m. until 5 p.m.

Perry’s currently operates steakhouse locations across Texas and in Birmingham, Chicago, Denver, Miami, and Raleigh. Additional concepts include Perry & Sons Market & Grille and Carve American Grille.
