YOUNGSTOWN — Kravitz Delicatessen, 3135 Belmont Ave., is hosting its annual three-day Corned Beef Fest next week.

The celebration begins with St. Practice Day on Monday, featuring special prices on Reuben and corned beef sandwiches. On Tuesday, St. Reuben’s Day, breakfast specials will be offered. The celebration culminates Wednesday, St. Patrick’s Day, with daylong food and drink specials.

Kravitz will be serving traditional corned beef and cabbage dinners, Guinness stout stew, XXL sandwiches and more. For vegetarians, meatless Reubens and cabbage dinners will be on the menu.

All meals will be available for dine-in, carryout or curbside pickup.

Giant Eagle hiring more than 50 workers in Youngstown-Warren area

CLEVELAND — Giant Eagle is looking to fill more than 50 permanent full- and part-time positions at Giant Eagle supermarkets in the Youngstown-Warren region.

Giant Eagle will conduct socially distant, in-person hiring events at area locations Monday through Friday. Candidates will meet with recruiters and have the opportunity for same-day job offers. All job seekers will be required to wear a mask or other face covering.

YOUNGSTOWN — Jeffrey Chrystal Catering, 2315 Belmont Ave., is offering to-go meals for St. Patrick’s Day on Wednesday. 

“Obviously, St. Patrick’s Day is one of our favorite holidays,” owner Jeff Chrystal said in a news release. “Over the past 12 months, we’ve tried to help everyone celebrate the holidays with the food that makes each one special and unique, and this is no exception. After all, everyone’s Irish on St. Patrick’s Day.”

MVMC appoints new board members

YOUNGSTOWN — The Mahoning Valley Manufacturers Coalition appointed new board members this month from among its member manufacturing companies.

Each member will serve a two-year term on the local workforce development sector partnership organization. The new members are:

• Joe Colletti, president (Marsh Bellofram/Specialty Fab);
• Ryan Englehart, vice president (Brilex);
• Kyle Kiraly, treasurer (Kiraly Tool & Die);
• Chris Allen, secretary (Ultium Cells);
• Matt Joing, immediate past president (Butech Bliss).

The organization also paid special tribute to former board member Dale Forester (Starr Manufacturing) for her 10 years of service, which coincides with the founding of MVMC. She was most recently immediate past president and remains active with the organization.

Mahoning County School Employee Insurance Consortium to meet

CANFIELD — The Mahoning County School Employee Insurance Consortium will have its regular monthly meeting of the board at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday (March 17). 

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the meeting will be held remotely.

The MCSEIC board also will have its General Assembly meeting at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. This meeting also will be held remotely.
