The Delaware County Pork Producers will hold their annual Pie Contest and Auction this Saturday.
The pies must be baked with a lard crust – and Shirley Helmrichs says anyone can enter.
Prize money will be awarded to the 1st through 6th place winners, with the top winner receiving $100. And after the winners are announced, the pies will be auctioned off.
A pork dinner will also be served on Saturday night starting at 6:30 pm at the Fairgrounds Pavilion in Manchester. Tickets will be available at the door for $12, with kids 10 and under $6.
And Helmrichs says they’re looking forward to more events coming up throughout the year.
She says the Delaware County Pork Producers appreciate all the support they’ve received from everyone throughout the past year.
