The Delaware County Pork Producers held their annual pie contest and auction on Saturday night.
Lindsay Manternach won first place with her peach pie. Rosemary Krogmann placed second, Doris McAllister took third, fourth and sixth place with three of her pies and Shirley Manternach placed fifth with a pie made with homegrown cherries.
Those top six pies sold for a total of $3,700 in the pie auction, with Karl Keuter purchasing Manternach’s winning pie. And Tim Krogmann from Westlinden Locker paid $1,000 for his Grandma Krogmann’s second place apple pie.
A total of 22 pies were judged, with a total of 43 sold – all raising money for the Delaware County Pork Producers to award scholarships and promote pork.
