The Build the Beef Barn project has received a $10,000 donation from Bedford Grange Mutual. The donation, made late last week, will be used toward construction of the new barn at the Bedford County Fairgrounds. The old barn has been demolished, and the new one is under construction with a focus of being completed in time for this year’s Fair. Build the Beef Barn has been raising funds since 2017 to pay for a new barn. A 50/50 raffle is being held with the drawing at the Fair Livestock Auction on July 31. Raffle tickets are available at Bedford Farm Bureau, Morral Farm Supply, the Bedford Fair office and from beef barn committee members or by calling 814-285-6880 and or 814-839-4491. Donations from individuals and businesses would be welcomed and can be made at Somerset Bank & Trust.
